Photography for me is the art of seeing the unique within the commonplace.
I remember looking at our family photo album and being drawn into those images. I saw photos of my dad at a lumber camp and as a crew member on a Great Lakes iron ore boat. Pictures of my mom and dad before I was born and after..pictures of myself before I had any memory. They expanded my sense of being in this world as well as the very size of the world I lived in.
Starting with an old fold out black and white camera my dad gave me..to Nikon SLR's and now my Canon digital SLR's, I've always enjoyed photography!
I really like working with the latest version of Photoshop. It's like magic compared to making Cibachrome prints in my old darkroom.
